Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Kubernetes / OpenShift

Overview

We are looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design, build, and operate a high-scale OpenShift/Kubernetes platform for a telecom-grade environment. You will focus on reliability, automation, and platform scalability while enabling development teams through robust DevOps and GitOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage highly available OpenShift (OCP 3.x/4.x)clusters across bare metal and hybrid cloud
• Administer Kubernetes components, cluster networking (SDN/OVN-K), ingress, and routing
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows(ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Automate infrastructure using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and YAML
• Execute migration of VM workloads to OpenShift Virtualization
• Implement cluster security (RBAC, OAuth/SSO, network policies, certificates, secrets management)
• Configure persistent storage using CSI drivers (RWX/RWO)
• Manage Day 2 operations: monitoring, logging, alerting, performance tuning
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues across compute, network, and storage
• Prepare and execute MOPsfor production deployments

Required Skills

• 4+ years IT experience with 3+ years in Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Strong expertise in:
  • OpenShift & Kubernetes
  • Docker / Podman
  • Helm, Operators, ArgoCD, Tekton
• Experience with:
  • Cluster networking and storage
  • Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS/Unix)
  • Security (RBAC, certificates, OAuth)
• Proficiency in:
  • Ansible, Terraform
  • Bash / Python scripting
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Service Mesh (Istio / OpenShift Service Mesh)
• Knative / Serverless
• Hybrid cloud architectures
• Observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs, reliability engineering)
